Shane Cameron
Don graduated with a Major in Law Enforcement but was introduced to the Financial Planning world shortly after college and found a career he loves. Cameron Financial was born shortly after. Don is a strong believer in continuing his education and is also an RICP, Retirement Income Certified Professional, both degrees from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. “I started the company with the goal of offering a holistic planning approach combined with specialized investment and planning solutions to the everyday saver.”
With his son Shane coming on board in 2012 Cameron Financial is now happily a “family run business.” The firm’s focuses on holistic financial planning that is bespoke to the individual. Holistic is generally defined as follows: characterized by the belief that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole. Only by seeing the big picture can you know which details to focus on. “Great customer service is crucial to the firm’s unique planning process. You’ll always deal with myself or Shane, not a junior associate unfamiliar with your case.”
The more complex planning strategies employed by the firm in regards to risk management, cash flow creation, and estate planning are esoteric by nature. It’s taken nearly five decades of actual real-world planning and investing experience to develop these strategies. They aren’t found in a textbook or brokerage wirehouse manual. These strategies are usually reserved for large estate, business, or HNW investor planning. Clients come to Cameron Financial looking for “outside the box” ideas and, depending on the individual situation, we provide those ideas.
