My passion and the reason I am in this business today is to help other families and business owner’s not having to go thru what my family did when I was just 3 years old, and my dad died to soon at age 49 years old with no life insurance. So that left my mom had to raise me and my sister on just $300.00 a month.
So, after being in several businesses over the years in the New Orleans Area, August 2005 Hurricane Katrina came and destroyed everything including my business. I got tired of survival mode waiting for everything to get restarted or rebuilt which was moving so slow for me…..so I decide to move in summer 2006 to San Antonio but once I got there, I could not figure out what I wanted to do for a living.
I had a passion for a while to help others by getting my insurance license so what happened to my family when I was young as I have written above, which help me pass my test to get licensed on the 1st try December 2006.
I have now been in the business for 16 + years specializing in Life Insurance and Retirement Planning. So, part of my passion is, and I get goosebumps every time I get to go deliver a check to families so they could continue to live the lifestyle they were used to living before their spouse or loved one passed away.
Therefore, I say it’s my passion to get as many families protected no matter what their budget is because “Something is Better Than Nothing”.
Of all the checks I have delivered I have never had a spouse or family upset with me for protecting the family. The only ones that are upset with me are the families that have told me why I did not push them to get something just in case they don’t come home from work or don’t wake up in the morning. I tell them I cannot force anyone to buy life insurance if they do not want to. But I personally dislike leaving anyone I meet without being covered or protected.
